So happy for a great year!

Um, Sam, it’s October. Not even close to New Years Eve. What are you talking about?

I’m so glad you asked, Voice in My Head! This month marks my first year at Adams Literary. It’s been an amazing experience. I’m not saying that to score brownie points with the bosses. (They don’t really read my blog.) I’m saying that because it really has been — almost unbelievably so.

I dreamt about working in a literary agency since high school. I worked my butt off to get opportunities that could just lead me closer to that chance. But if someone told me that I was going to intern then be an assistant at one that exclusively represents children’s and young adult authors and artists soon after graduating from college, I’d laugh in their face! Then thank them for their optimism and encouragement.

So it’s been almost unreal that in the last twelve months, I’ve helped ALit take on new clients, worked with authors on their stories, and pitched projects to editors.

Seriously, can we just take one moment to ponder if this is real or just a vivid figment of my imagination?

Anyway, to celebrate my first year, I thought I’d share some highlights of my experience — with GIFs! Oh, and before you ask, these highlights reflect my personal feelings during that experience. So yes, somewhere beneath my professional, quiet demeanor…I’m fangirling as hard as a browncoat meeting Nathan Fillion. Or Joss Whedon. Or, oh my gosh, both.

I promise I really am a professional, reliable worker/future agent.
